It used to be an issue but Fusion recently got a pretty amazing mesh workspace that can repair, edit and convert extremely large and complex mesh files. It can even work in parametric and combine mesh with solid and surface models.Use the tools on the Edit Model Solid tab > Modify panel to modify solid shapes. These are the same tools available in the Design workspace > Solid tab > Modify panel. Select profiles or planar faces on solid bodies when using these tools.
